Many of you know that I have a sales agency as well and I work with Artful Dodger as one of the brands that we help build their market share in the midwest and generate sales for them. Last month at a clothing tradeshow in Las Vegas called Magic, Artful Dodger was in talks with UFC fight star ”Rampage Jackson”. So he met everybody out for dinner one evening and chopped it up with us. He was standing at the end of the table telling fight stories where me and my girlfriend were sitting. He didn’t know that we were together, so in the middle of his story he looks down at her and says ”damn you’re beautiful” and starts to play with her hair. Everyobody sitting at our end of the table is watching and is laughing because he didn’t realize we were together. So my girlfriend says to me, to make it obvious ” hey babe, we watch all of his fights, don’t we”. Maybe he’s been hit in the head too many times because he still didn’t get it. So now I have to say something because this is my girl but I can’t be rude because it’s a company dinner and I still represent the company but you don’t want to be a punk either, and not that I have to mention the dude fights for a living and is one of the baddest MMA fighters in the world. So just before I start to say something my boy Guy (Southeast Artful Dodger rep) is sitting next to me and says in a joking voice, “well Robert I’m waiting for you to get up and kick his ass” everyone at the table starts laughing and Rampage finally gets that we are together and apologizes to us. It was a great story to tell afterwards. Although I still think I could have taken him :) ha ha . I have to admit this dude is a specimen in person. I couldn’t get over how big his head was. I know I have a big head but damn he has to wear a size 8 or above in a fitted cap. He was a very humble dude in person and took pictures with everybody. I’m definitely a bigger fan of his now that I had the opportunity to meet him.

This is an entrance clip of my cousin Brandon before one of his MMA fights. Of course you don’t have to guess who he’s sponsored by. He ended up winning by the other dude tapping out in the 2nd round. It’s great to see him following his dreams, although all of his older cousins thought he would be the last one in the family to step in the ring. Because we were older than Brandon we always picked on him. I used to call him Bart simpson because when he was about 8 yrs old, he use to wear his hair like Bart and used to have these coke bottle thick eye glasses. Who knows what my other cousins called him, but he knows it was all in fun. Our family likes to cut on eachother so you have to have thick skin. This is what probably led him to want to kick somebody’s ass in the ring. So B you can thank us for your fight career. He heeeeee. He was too young to remember who was the “King” of the backyard boxing matches at the farm, ask Jerry he remembers the bloody noses. I have to say I’m pretty impressed with his skills. He likes to utilize his feet and hands more than most fighters. I will keep you posted on Brandon’s fights and other fighters we may be sponsoring in the future. Good Luck Brandon, but remember I will always be able to kick your ass no matter how much you train.

Over a week ago my boy James got married. I was honored to be one of his groomsmen in the wedding. Here is a pic of my boy Juan H and I right after the ceremony. Juan and I like to be the “clowns” amongst our boys so we are always laughing and acting like fools. So of course the day was filled with laughter and was just an all around great time. It was a beautiful day out but damn, It had to be the Hottest day of the year and the wedding was outside.  We all lost about 10 lbs a piece in our suits.  Oh don’t worry we gained every last pound back on the carne and frijoles during the dinner. My boy Rudy G grilled beef brisket and chicken for the dinner and James’s tia made some of the best ranchero frijoles. They were so good, somebody’s momma got slapped that day. He Heeeeeee :)  this is our annoying laugh amongst the fellas.  Like my boy James likes to say “Great times, Great Friends” CONGRATULATIONS JAMES AND LISA may God bless you and your new family.
